Woot woot!

Time to celebrate your progress and what’s working! I know, you might be saying, “I don’t really need to do that. I just want to fix my issue areas and get on with it.” Let’s call that a by-product of living in a weakness-fixing world.

From the cradle to the grave we are trained to see what is wrong and fix it. The problem with this thinking is two-fold. One, it focuses our attention on what we don’t want instead of what we want. Our mind tends to give us more of what we focus on, and studies have shown that we don’t get as big of a return when we work on fixing our weakest weakness as we do when we identify our strengths and work on growing those. The second is we humans don’t grow by having everything wrong pointed out.

In this step, you practice bringing attention to what is working and celebrating it! This may seem unnecessary to some, but I assure you, it’s not.
